I came across a company called SlySoft today. I have seen them in the past but hadn’t paid as much attention due to there being no need for what they offer. Well today, I decided to look their site over a little more in depth and came across this Gold nugget for our readers. It’s a piece of software titled Virtual CloneDrive. They offer this completely free and it’s definately worth checking out.

The software creates a Virtual Drive so that you can eliminate the need for constantly inserting a cd/dvd. Granted you will still need a utility to create an image of the disc (ISO image file, etc…), but this can be done with many different CD Burning Applications (E.g. Roxio Easy Media Creator).   I haven’t had a chance to try this on any of our servers yet, but will likely test it on one in the near future. It appears to be compatable with most clients and workstations though. I have tested it today on Windows Vista Business and it runs really smooth. Great Virtual Drive Application and definately worth the price (FREE)!!!
